Discounts by number of days
- 2 to 4 days: standard daily rate.
- 5 days or more: the daily rate goes down.
- Two weeks and monthly: the discount is larger and quoted directly depending on the vehicle and season.
If you're renting for a long period or need a backup vehicle while yours is in the shop, the monthly option is usually much cheaper than booking day by day.
What the daily rate includes
- Valid SOAT and up-to-date technical-mechanical inspection.
- Comprehensive insurance with a clear, written deductible.
- 24/7 roadside assistance.
- Unlimited mileage within the Aburrá Valley and Antioquia.
- Vehicle delivered clean, with a full tank and a complete road kit.
- Free delivery and return in the Aburrá Valley and at Olaya Herrera Airport; an additional charge applies at José María Córdova Airport (JMC).
How days are counted
One day equals a 24-hour period from delivery. If you pick up the car on Monday at 10 a.m. and return it on Wednesday at 10 a.m., that counts as 2 days (the minimum rental). We have a standard tolerance of 1 to 2 hours on return; beyond that, an additional fraction is charged.
If you need the car for more days than you booked, let us know at least 12 hours before the return and we'll extend it without a new process, keeping the same rate.
Typical daily rentals in Medellín
- Weekend in Antioquia: 2-3 days with a mid-size SUV for Guatapé, Santa Fe or Jardín.
- Family visit or short trip: 4-7 days, common for residents visiting from another city.
- Long holidays: 10-15 days, common for international tourists combining Medellín with Cartagena or the Coffee Region.
- Replacement car: 5-30 days while your own is in the shop or tied up in paperwork.
- Work project: 30-90 days on a monthly rate.
Cancellation policy
- Cancellation more than 48 hours in advance: no charge, advance payment refunded.
- Cancellation between 24 and 48 hours before: a percentage of the advance payment is retained as a logistics charge.
- Cancellation less than 24 hours before: the equivalent of one day's rental is retained.
- Date change (without cancelling): subject to availability, usually free of charge if you let us know in time.
Frequently asked questions
Can I extend the rental once I already have the car?
Yes. Let us know at least 12 hours before the end of the contract and, subject to availability, we'll extend it with no additional handling fee.
Can I return it before the booked days are up?
Yes, but unused days are charged at the original rate (not prorated), except on monthly rentals, where specific conditions apply.
Is there a minimum number of days?
The minimum is 2 days (48 hours).
What if I only need the car for 4 hours?
For 4 hours, the service with a driver (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or a chauffeured vehicle) is more convenient. Ask us to quote both options and we'll compare which suits you best.
